At Resonate we are continually exploring ways to improve our solutions and data relevancy. We’re excited to announce a recent update for our CRM Insights - Direct Onboarding product to improve gender demographics insights related to onboarded IDs.
This means if you have a CRM file with a known gender skew, such as the consumers in your file are mostly female, you will now see that gender skew aligns more within the platform.
You will see this update within the platform once you send a new CRM file to Resonate.
This is the first enhancement of several improvements planned on our roadmap related to the demographics of onboarded IDs.
FAQs:
1. Will match rates be affected by the update?
- No. Match rates will remain the same.
2. Will gender insights match my file exactly?
- Gender insights will be much improved. However, please keep in mind that we show insights based on predictive models, so gender insights may still not match 100% of what you are seeing from a deterministic data source.
3. Will the Estimated Targetable IDs number align with the percent compositions on my insights?
- To provide better insights, we're taking a sample of the IDs we matched to, from your CRM file to use as the IDs behind the segment for analysis in Ignite. Not every ID we can match to for activation (aka the Estimated Targetable number) is going to have the highest fidelity insights possible. For this reason, you may not see the percent compositions on a certain insight align exactly with the Estimated Targetable IDs when you add that insight to your CRM segment.
4. What does Estimated Targetable IDs mean for my audience?
- This is the estimated available number of IDs within Resonate's ID Graph that can activated for an audience.
5. How do I determine the % of my file that's female?
- Select a segment that is your total audience (if you don't have one, combine attributes to make your total audience in an "OR" statement), then add that audience to an analysis. In the "Demographic Highlights" you'll see a % composition of gender. Using that percentage, calculate the number of matched IDs by multiplying the Estimated Targetable IDs by that percentage. Always use the % composition from the insight against the Estimated Targetable IDs.
- Example: You have 3 segments: male, female, unknown. Combine them all in an "OR" statement, combined, there are 380K IDs, and then click the "Add to Analysis" button. From there in the "Demographic Highlights" section you see that the % composition of the audience is 59% female. Multiply the 380K (Estimated Targetable IDs) by 59% (% that is female) to see you have 224,000 IDs that are female.
