You can access the Media Planning Report under the Reports menu when viewing an analysis for your selected audiences in the Intelligence Center.
The Media Planning Report provides you with a top-level channel view on consumer engagement insights across media channels such as digital media, television, and podcasts. It also has multiple views to enable you to view the report based on the level of consumer engagement from light to heavy engagement.
How to use it? Use this report to increase return on ad spend by making better targeting and ad-buying decisions as well as uncovering where you can find your audiences online and offline. You can view overall engagement across channels, all in one, comprehensive report to help you get channel-based insights, faster. Use the Media Planning Report to identify the right channels, and then use the Media Consumption Report to help identify areas within those channels to target, like specific tv shows, social media networks, etc.
This report shows insights on engagement by media channel for the following channels:
- Traditional Television
- Streaming Television
- Social Media
- Internet Video
- Radio
- Podcast
- Online Newspapers
- Mobile App Newspapers
- Physical Newspapers
- Online Magazines
- Mobile App Magazines
- Physical Magazines
The report starts with an overview of all channels in a stacked view to easily identify where your audiences have the highest overall engagement. This shows a top-level channel view on consumer engagement insights across media channels such as digital media, television, and podcasts.
You can also unstack the report to dive deeper into each channel and view levels of engagement and time spent consuming media to further inform your media buying and planning. The unstacked view of the report enables you to see composition among each level of consumer engagement to better understand and compare how your audiences vary across types of media engagement, such as television and digital.
Export
To export the report, click the download icon at the top right of the page. A PNG per audience in your analysis will be exported, as well as a Glossary that helps further explain the data and metrics used in the report. These exports are designed to be shared, by being "presentation-friendly," great for new business pitches, or sharing insights with your colleagues.
Share
You can easily share a PNG of the report by clicking the share icon at the top of the report, to the right of the information icon.
Glossary
For more information on the data and metrics used in the report, click the i icon at the top right of the report to view the Report Glossary. The glossary will be exported when you choose to export this report.
Arrow Buttons
On the top right of the report are arrow buttons. Click them to flip to the next report that's in the Report sub-nav. You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard - perhaps our favorite feature yet! Especially as we add more reports, this will make it even easier to tell a story with your data.
