Please follow the instructions below to implement an image pixel in Google Tag Manager.
First, create a new Custom: Impression – URL tag in the Resonate Ignite Platform.
Once that tag is created you’ll have a URL like the following:
Next in Google Tag Manager, create a new tag and select the Custom Image option.
Copy-paste the tag code into the “Image URL” field, select the “Enable Cache Busting” option, and type in “rand” in the “Cache Buster Query Parameter” field.
Choose a trigger event that determines when that tag fires on your site. If the goal is to have your tag fire on any page load across the whole site, you can select the simple “All Pages” trigger event (shown in the example below). If you only want this pixel to fire on certain pages, sections, or events on the site, then you need to create the appropriate trigger for that event specifically and use that to trigger the tag.
Once that tag is saved, publish the GTM container to the website and the new tag will be live on the site.
