Wave 2205 of our U.S. Consumer Study was fielded from September, 21 2022 to October, 31 2022. This wave focused on Technology & Telecommunications, including:
- Familiarity with augmented reality
- Interest in Metaverse activities and brands expected to find there
- Wireless-related insights for device upgrade preferences, extra features willing to pay for, and additional selection considerations
- Level of satisfaction for mobile phone, landline, wired or satellite internet, TV, and home security monitoring
- Technology sources of information such as review sites or social media
- Timeframe to change internet providers
Wave 2206 of our U.S. Consumer Study was fielded from October, 31 2022 to December, 8 2022. This wave focused on Retail and Home & Family, including:
- Professional services being used in next 12 months such as lawn care or pest control
- Parenting methods for child’s education
- Toy buying approach for kids
- Online order spending amount in last 3 months
- Pharmacies used and ordering method
- Categories of groceries purchased in the last 3 months
A few general updates also include:
- New ESG measures on the impact on consumer purchase decisions
- New TV networks/channels watched (Fuse TV, Spectrum News)
- Source of information for purchases such as celebrity endorsements or reviews
- Name-brand shoppers

Deprecated and Inactivated Attributes
For USCS Waves 2205 & 2206, we have inactivated or deprecated approximately 400 previously available attributes. Please refer to the attached file for a complete list of attributes that are inactivated or deprecated with USCS Waves 2205 & 2206.
Update Saved Audiences
If you have any audiences saved with these inactivated attributes, we recommend you update the audience to remove or replace the attributes that are being inactivated so that you can still analyze or activate the audience. You will not be able to analyze audiences with inactive attributes and audience deliveries will no longer deliver as the original audience definition is not valid moving forward.
Suggested Replacements
For most attributes being deprecated or inactivated with Waves 2205 & 2206, there are suggested replacements. Please be sure to read the suggested replacement survey question in full, and then consider using it to replace the inactivated attribute. Please note that there can and will be intentional differences between the original and updated survey question.

As part of standard quality efforts, Resonate uses weighting benchmarks sourced from Pew Research Center's National Public Opinion Reference Survey (NPORS) and the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey (ACS) to make online adult population estimates. Waves 2205 and 2206 will be releasing with updates to U.S. online adult population estimates, as a result of updated weighting benchmarks, which may result in changes to your audience metrics.
