Updates to Demographic Highlights in Audience Introduction Report – November 2, 2023

We have introduced two enhancements to the Demographic Highlights section in the Audience Introduction Report:

1. Demographic Highlights now display the attribute with the highest percent composition, as opposed to the previous method which displayed percent composition for the highest indexing attribute.
2. The “Have Children Under Age 18” insight has been replaced with “Number of Children Under 18.”

These updates to the Audience Introduction Curated Report ensure consistency with the Demographics Curated Report and make it easier to identify the insights that are most prevalent amongst your audience. 

The following example demonstrates the impact of these updates on the data provided in the Demographic Highlights.

As you can see, the attributes highlighted in this report are now selected based on the highest percent composition, not necessarily highest index (which can have a lower percent composition). Please note that there are no changes to the underlying data, only a change in the way that the insights that are being highlighted.

Highlighting the “Number of Children under 18 Years” insight in the Demographic Highlights (vs. “Have Children Under 18") allows you to quickly get more insight into your audience’s family size beyond simply whether they have children.

If you've previously exported reports for presentations before these updates, we recommend revisiting your screenshots or exports to align them with the recent changes. This will help maintain consistency between your exports and platform reports in the future.
