- Moved functionality to delete selected insights to Insights Setting Panel only
- Button text changing from Select Insights to Edit Insights
- View Index & Composition settings in Tray
- View Breadcrumb taxonomy location on Insights
Editing an Analysis in Insight Settings Panel
Prior to this release, to edit the insights within an analysis you had two options – you could (1) remove and add insights directly from the top of the analysis or you could (2) return to Insight Settings by choosing Select Insights.
Moving forward, you will only be able to remove or add insights from an analysis in the Insight Settings panel. This means that the search bar and the ability to remove selected insights were moved from within an analysis to only in the Insight Settings Panel.
This ensures you have a consistent experience from creating to editing an analysis by giving you one location to edit both the selected insights and Index and Composition Settings. Additionally, removing the ability to edit insights from within an analysis improves your overall experience and speed to insights.
You will also notice that the selected insights color changed from blue to grey to signify when they can’t be removed, and that the button text changed from Select Insights to Edit Insights.
To edit the insights in your analysis, select Edit Insights. From here, you will be able to remove and add new insights by searching or navigating the taxonomy and change your Index and Composition settings using the sliders or dropdowns. Then, select to return to your analysis with your updated insight settings applied.
Viewing Index and Composition Settings within an Analysis
You are also now able to view your Index and Composition settings at the top of an analysis in the tray, so that you can easily reference your settings without having to return to the Insight Settings Panel. This is a helpful reminder of what data you’re viewing so that you can analyze your insights within the context of your settings.
You will see your Index and Composition settings next to the Edit Insights button, along with a description of your settings when you hover over the values.
As a reminder, editing your Index and Composition Settings allows you to customize your analysis to quickly get to the insights that matter most to you. From the Insight Settings panel, use the dropdown and sliders to adjust your settings (Minimum Of, Maximum Of, In Between, Outside Of) so that you can easily identify what stands out about your audience.
Minimum of (default) - Set a minimum value to view insights greater than the number you choose. Will be formatted to display as:
Maximum of - Set a maximum value to view insights less than the number you choose. Will be formatted to display as:
In Between - Set an upper and low number to view insights that fall in between those values. Will be formatted to display as:
Outside of - Set an upper and low number to view insights that fall outside of those values. Will be formatted to display as:
Viewing Insight Taxonomy Location within an Analysis
To provide additional context to your analysis, we have also added a breadcrumb tooltip that’s visible when you hover over your selected insights that displays the location of that insight within the taxonomy.
This is especially helpful context to have when the labels of your selected insights are similar or not very detailed. Simply hover over the insight to remind yourself of the location of the data and to confirm if you’d like to make any changes.
