We’re excited to share some important updates to Resonate Append that will impact deliveries going forward. These changes are designed to make your data deliveries more consistent, organized, and easier to manage across Box, AWS, and Snowflake environments.
Below is a summary of what’s changing:
1. Standardized File Naming Convention (Box & AWS Deliveries)
We’ve standardized the file naming convention for all Append deliverables sent via Box and AWS. This will make automation and tracking simpler and more reliable.
Each file will now follow this format:
File Type | Naming Convention |
Output File | <input file name>_YYYYMMDD_hhmmss_results.csv.gz |
Summary File | <input file name>_YYYYMMDD_hhmmss_summary.csv |
Key Definition (Catalog) File | <input file name>_YYYYMMDD_hhmmss_catalog.csv |
This update applies to Box and AWS deliveries only.
SFTP and Snowflake naming updates will come in a future release.
2. Snowflake Deliverable Enhancements
Previously, your Resonate Customer Success team emailed you the Key Definition (Catalog) and Summary files, while the Output Table was shared in Snowflake.
Going forward:
The Key Definition (Catalog), Summary, and Output Tables will all be shared directly within Snowflake.
The table formats will remain consistent with what you’ve previously received by email.
Your Customer Success Manager will notify you once the tables have been shared with your account.
This change streamlines delivery, providing a single, secure access point for all Append Snowflake deliverables.
3. Organized Folder Structure for Box, SFTP & AWS Deliveries
To make it easier to manage your data exchanges with Resonate, each client will now have a consistent folder structure:
Input Folder – For files you send to Resonate.
Output Folder – For files Resonate delivers back to you.
This standardized folder organization ensures that all input and output data is clearly separated and easy to locate.
4. New Process Date Folders for Box Deliveries
For Box deliveries only, we’re introducing a process date and time subfolder within your Output Folder for each delivery.
For example: /Output/YYYYMMDD_hhmmss/
All result files for that delivery will be stored in this dated folder, making it easier to identify and reference specific delivery runs.
5. Updated Refresh Cycle for IP-Only Data
We’ve introduced a new, more flexible refresh cadence for IP-only Append data:
IP-Only Data: Can now be refreshed monthly, giving you access to fresher IP-level insights.
HEM, MAID, ZIP11, and Address Data: We update models every six weeks in cycle with our wave releases, so we recommend quarterly refreshes of your IDs, though monthly refreshes are available if you have new records to append.
This update provides greater flexibility to keep your data as current as your business needs.
What This Means for You
These updates are part of our ongoing effort to improve your experience with Resonate Append. With this release, you’ll benefit from:
Consistent, predictable file naming
Simplified folder organization for Box and AWS
Centralized Snowflake deliverables
Easier access to historical deliveries via Box date folders
Flexible refresh options for IP-only data
If you have any questions about these updates or need help adjusting your delivery workflows, please reach out to your Resonate Customer Success Manager—we’re happy to help ensure a smooth transition.
