How to Use rAI-powered Audience Builder

For decades, Resonate has been a leader in AI technology with our proprietary neural network, also known as rAI, which powers the creation of Resonate data. And now, with rAI-powered Audience Builder, we’ve created a powerful tool that simplifies audience building by leveraging this state-of-the-art AI technology.

rAI-powered Audience Builder makes it easier than ever to create your precise, tailored audiences. The Audience Builder streamlines the audience creation process by allowing you to generate your custom audiences with just a simple prompt—no manual searches or scrolling required. Start using our rAI-powered Audience Builder today.

How it works:

1. Navigate to the Segmentation Center and select the new rAI-powered Audience Builder tab.

2. Type a prompt into the input box. Keep it as simple or detailed as you like—there’s no need for full sentences. Keep in mind, the data used to build these audiences during the BETA period is derived from our survey and geo data.

3. Click “Build Audience,” and watch as rAI analyzes your prompt. It identifies relevant attributes and creates a tailored audience in seconds—no need to scroll through the taxonomy or manually search for data.

4. In just a few seconds, your custom audience will appear.

5. You can add or remove attributes and adjust the Boolean logic to fine-tune your audience.

6. The tool saves your original prompt, allowing you to go back and make adjustments without starting from scratch.

7. Once satisfied, save your audience for future use.

8. You can even take it a step further by using rAI to generate insights on your audience in minutes so that you know what to say to them when you activate the audience directly from the Ignite platform.

FAQ: 

1. Does rAI-powered Audience Builder work with custom survey questions?
   • Answer: No. Currently, it only works with standard Resonate Elements and geography data. It does not include any custom or proprietary survey questions. 
2. Does rAI-powered Audience Builder work with Engaged Audiences?
   • Answer: No. Currently, it does not support Engaged Audiences, Tags or imported 1st Party CRM data, but we are looking to add those data types in the future. 
3. Can you ask the rAI-powered Audience Builder to ‘build an audience of at least X million in size’?
   • Answer: No. At the moment the feature can only help you build the audience expression. The Ignite platform won’t be able to give you metrics about the size of the audience until the audience expression is built, then it can pull metrics on that specific audience. 
4. Can you tell the Audience Builder to limit the number of attributes in the audience expression to a certain number? 
   • Answer: No. But you can make your Audience Builder prompt more specific. The more detailed and specific the prompt, the more likely it will select those exact attributes instead of grabbing several to match a broad query. You can always edit or remove attributes once the audience is generated.
5. What does it mean that this feature is in BETA? 
   • Answer: BETA means that this is a new feature to the platform, and that we’d love your feedback.  Rest assured we’ve thoroughly tested rai-powered Audience Builder prior to this release and we are eager for you to use it and let us know what you think!
