Resonate is a U.S.-based company that delivers actionable insights about U.S. consumers only. We do not collect data from consumers outside the U.S.
Resonate evaluates the source of all incoming traffic. If Resonate’s content delivery network (CDN) identifies the traffic coming from a non-U.S. IP address, then the CDN ensures that Resonate does not ingest that traffic into its servers. This behavior has different consequences for Resonate Site and Media tags.
For Resonate Site Tags:
- Resonate site tags do not block international traffic from accessing the site, our CDN will only block our own systems from ingesting that data. Therefore, if the site has traffic from the U.S., you can still measure international domains. As long as the tags have sufficient U.S. traffic, then insights may be obtained through the platform from the site tag.
For Resonate Media Tags:
- Resonate Media Impression tags do not block international traffic from being served the ad, our CDN will only block our own systems from ingesting that data. It’s safe to place our Impression tags on media that may be served to international traffic.
- Resonate Media Click tags will block users with international IP addresses from being redirected to the landing page. For this reason, it would be necessary to break out the US creatives as their own placements and put the Resonate media click tags on only those US placements. Separating the campaign by region, with US being its own standalone region, is a standard industry practice for media tags.
