How to Select a Custom Audience for Instagram via Meta (Facebook) Direct Activation

One of the benefits of the Meta (Facebook) Direct connection for Activation is that you are able to use audiences you pushed from Resonate to Meta (Facebook) for your Instagram ads as well.

In order to do this, your Instagram ad account must be connected to the Meta (Facebook) ad account that you’re using for the audiences.

Note: These instructions are for the purposes of showing you how to find and select a custom audience to activate for Instagram via your Meta (Facebook) Ad account. Any questions regarding campaign setup/strategy should be discussed with your Instagram/Meta account manager.

Selecting a custom audience for a new campaign

Please follow the steps below to create a new campaign in Meta (Facebook) for Instagram:

1. Login to your Meta (Facebook) Instance

2. Go to Campaign

3. Select Create

4. Choose your campaign objective and then click ‘Continue’

5. Choose your campaign setup then click ‘Continue’

6. Choose your settings then click ‘Next’

7. Choose your options on this page, to select one of your custom audiences scroll down to the ‘Advantage+ audience’ section and click ‘Audience suggestion (optional)’

A new panel opens with ‘Custom audiences’ in there you can search for your audiences that were pushed via Ignite to Meta. Choose your audience then click ‘Next’
