1. Why Resonate Needs to Have “Manage Campaigns” Access for Meta (Facebook) Direct Integration?
Manage Campaigns access gives us the ability to “Create and edit ads, access reports and view ads” (it also automatically gives us View Performance permission which is a subset of the Manage Campaigns permission). However, in reality we are not using the Manage Campaign permission for any of those actions (we are only sharing custom audiences to the ad account).
From Facebook:
- Add Partner to Business Manager: “If you're a business who works with an agency or consultant, you can add them to your Business Manager and share your assets with them. When you add a partner to your Business Manager, you can grant access to different assets and assign specific permission levels. Partners can see assets you share with them in their Business Managers.”
- Add Account Permissions by Role: "Advertising accounts have three types of admin permissions available to help you manage your account. When you give someone permission to access your ad account, you choose what they're able to do or see by assigning them a role."
2. What is Resonate’s Business Partner ID?
- 863298977075934
3. Will my audiences refresh?
- Yes! Your audiences will be refreshed on a weekly basis.
4. What IDs are being sent to Meta (Facebook)?
- We are sending hashed email (HEM) SHA-256 IDs
5. How long will it take for my audiences to appear in Meta (Facebook)?
- Your audience will appear immediately in your Meta ad account and the data will populate within 24 hours.
6. Are there any best practices on how to name audiences?
- The audiences should be named in a way that the client knows what data was used to appropriately activate. Example: Hobby Lobby Shoppers W18+
7. Are there rules on types of audiences that can be pushed to META that we need ppl to follow?
- Clients should follow the guidelines given by Meta here: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/1057016521436966?id=188852726110565
8. What is the Segment ID and why do I need one?
- The segment ID is needed to create a shell to send the audience to Meta. It is also used to locate an audience if you have multiple audiences from Resonate that all have similar names, you are able to search the segment ID in the Ads Manager to pinpoint the exact audience you need. It is the ‘Audience ID’ in Meta.
9. Can you add geo/DMA/ages onto the custom audiences in Meta?
- Yes
10. Can I push my audiences to Instagram?
- Yes, as long as your Meta and Instagram accounts are connected. Please see this page for more details: https://support.resonate.com/hc/en-us/articles/24139977023255-How-to-Select-a-Custom-Audience-for-Instagram-via-Meta-Facebook-Direct-Activation
