Tag Threshold Enforcements
You probably know that our general rule of thumb is that Tags should see about 2,000 uniques before you’re able to analyze them. You may also know that in the platform, there is actually a threshold of a certain number of modeled devices that must be present behind an audience or tag before the platform can return insights.
To ensure that we are reporting on data that is representative of the population, we require the need to have certain thresholds for insights. We’ve applied thresholds for tag insights historically, but recently found an area for improvement. We changed our threshold from 2,000 unique hits to 600 modeled cookies to improve the quality of insights returned and enhance user experience by maintaining a consistent threshold for tags everywhere in the platform - Segmentation Center, Intelligence Center: Audience Tab, Audience List Page and in your Saved Analyses.
Previously, you may have encountered the following issues:
- You were able to see insights for a Tag audience, but if you export, it’s blank or missing (or only the glossary is exported).
- You were unable to view insights on a Tag audience after you’ve adjusted the dates in Intelligence Center.
- Analyzing a Tag via one route in the platform returned insights, but not if you took a different path in the platform.
This update fixes the known bug in our platform that allowed you to analyze and export Tag audiences in some cases, but not in others.
Capping the Width on the Bar Chart
We also capped the width on the bar for high indexing insights to alleviate visuals that are hard to assess and compare. We will continue to display the actual index number, but limit the width of the bar itself to 500.
