In July 2019, we introduced Audience Crosstab to the Resonate platform! Audience Crosstab allows you to:
- See how much of your target audience is engaging with your digital footprint
- See the overlap between audiences
What’s changing?
We’re renaming the RealSegment Measurement visualization to Audience Crosstab and we’re converting your RealSegments to Audiences. When you come to the Audience Crosstab visualization, all compatible audiences will automatically be available to you. You’ll save time and confusion and will no longer need to cognitively create a separate audience as a RealSegment for use in Audience Crosstab.
What do I need to do?
You don’t need to do anything! Nothing will be removed, and all your saved RealSegments will automatically convert to Audiences and will be accessible to you from the Your Saved Audiences page. And fear not, all the functionality of measuring your digital footprint against your RealSegments will remain in Audience Crosstabs.
Compatible Audiences for Audience Crosstab
There are two types of audiences that are compatible for use with the Audience Crosstab visualization. The types of audiences depend on your use case.
Measure Your Digital Footprint:
When you want to see how much of your target audience is engaging with your digital footprint, you can add up to 5 Tags in your analysis, and up to 5 audiences that contain only Resonate Elements but do not contain Limited Resonate Elements as the crosstab audiences. The crosstab audiences will show as rows in the table.
For example, if you have an audience of 18-21 year olds, you would not be able to measure them against your Tags, since it contains Limited Resonate Elements (individual age). You would, however, be able to measure an audience made up of 18-24 year olds - using the Age Group 18-24 attribute.
See Audience Overlap:
When you want to see how much of one target audience overlaps with another, you can add up to 5 audiences in your analysis, and up to 5 audiences that contain only Resonate Elements as the crosstab audiences. The crosstab audiences will show as rows in the table. In this use case, it is ok to include Limited Resonate Elements in your audience definition.
