Here's what's new with our platform release happening in late May.
Attribute Flags in Audience Builder
We are updating the attribute flags in the audience builder to be more helpful, as well as introducing a new attribute flag.
L for Limited
The flag for unmodeled will be renamed to limited to reduce confusion. The term "unmodeled" has always been a bit of a misnomer and means, very literally, that we cannot generate a data science predictive model for that attribute or attribute value. Yet we are able to model that attribute value or attribute to the online adult population and show a projected number as to the size of people online to possess that trait. So, to alleviate confusion, we're renaming unmodeled to limited.
Limited attributes will be flagged with an L icon on the attribute or attribute value. Its tooltip reads, "This attribute can only be combined with other Resonate Elements."
Attributes that are limited can only be combined in an audience with other Resonate Element attributes. You cannot combine limited attribute values with a Tag, Behavioral attribute, Geography DMA or Congressional District attribute, 1st party data attribute, or 3rd party segment attribute in an audience.
It also means we cannot predict insights for these attributes against audiences that contain any of the following types of data: Tag, Behavioral, Geography, 1st Party Data, or 3rd Party Segments from LiveRamp. The reason for these limitations is that we cannot generate a data science predictive model for that attribute or attribute value.
Learn more about what you can and cannot do with limited attributes.
T for Third Party
Third party attributes appended to our survey respondents will be flagged with a T icon on the attribute or attribute value. Its tooltip reads, "This attribute is from a third party partner."
You cannot activate an audience that contains third party attributes.

! for Cannot Activate
We've included a new flag denoted by an exclamation point (!) icon, called Cannot Activate. This is to help you identify attributes and attribute values that cannot be included in an audience for activation or engagement.
Attributes that cannot be activated or used in a data append for engagement are as follows:
- Transgender Identity
- Sexual Orientation
- All Sensitive Health & Pharma Conditions and Conditions Management
- All appended 3rd party data.

Clarified "Have Children" insight in Audience Introduction Report
The "Have Children" insight in the Audience Introduction Report will now read "do/do not have children under age 18." Previously this insight just read "do/do not have children" - yet the insight was always "do/do not have children under age 18." This was always the definition of this insight, but the absence of "under age 18" in the report component caused confusion. So we're including more text here to clarify that this insight refers to "does/does not have children under age 18".
