In response to GDPR and other privacy initiatives, Google Ads (f.k.a. Adwords) and Display and Video 360(fka DBM) have made it more challenging to target third-party data across their platforms. Please follow the below steps in order to successfully access Resonate Data in your Google platform.
- Your advertiser account must meet the qualifications of Google’s new Advertiser Uploaded Data Policy. If you do not meet the qualifications, you need to work with your Google Account Rep to become established. Without this, you will not be able to move toward steps 2 and 3 below.
- Make sure your account is whitelisted for Customer Match. You will need to reach out to your Google Account Rep to take care of this for you. You will need to provide them with your seat ID/advertiser ID. This process can take 7-10 business days.
- Once your account has been whitelisted for Customer Match, you will need to be whitelisted for third-party cookie lists. You will need to again reach out you’re your Google Account Rep with your seat ID/advertiser ID to handle this for you. This process can take another 7-10 business days.
It is pertinent that you are whitelisted for Customer Match before you can be whitelisted for third-party cookie lists. Google defines third-party cookie lists are DMP-based audiences that are sourced from third-party data, like Resonate’s audiences.
If you do not have an assigned Google Account Rep, you can reach out to their support hotline here.
